Mindfulness Training; The Key to Peak Performance and Happiness: Classes begin on Wed. Oct. 18 

Through advances in brain-science we’re learning that much of our stress and unhappiness is the result of an erosion of good attention habits.  In fact studies have shown that 47% of the time– almost half of our lives— we are not fully present but stuck in a somewhat unconscious state of autopilot, going through the motions of our daily routines only half here, half awake, half alive.

When what we’re giving most of our attention to is to the thoughts in our head, we’re missing out on important information offered by the body through our senses.  In this tight, contracted state our perception is narrowed and we get an incomplete picture of what’s actually going on— we are limited in our ability to respond and make wise decisions that affect our performance, well-being, and happiness.

Mindfulness offers skills training for getting unstuck from autopilot habits.  It is a scientifically proven strategy for waking up out of the autopilot mind and the survival based thoughts of past and present that keep us feeling trapped.  It has helped people all over the world access their own deep-inner resources for peak performance and clarity of mind that is possible in every moment. Just like working out at the gym strengthens our physical muscles – mindfulness training strengthens the muscles of attention, positivity, and resilience.  It evolves the brains structure and hardwiring.
